The Educational Positioning System Gets Play in The Chronicle

While attending EDUCAUSE in Philadelphia a few weeks ago, my boss, Mike Mathews, and I were able to press the EPS concept forward during a roundtable discussion with Aneesh Chopra, Chief Technology Officer for the United States under President Obama. The Chronicle reported:

Officials from SunGard spoke of an ‘educational positioning system,’ like a GPS, in which students would hold their own course records, sometimes from multiple colleges, and be able to tell what courses they needed to take to reach a particular goal.
